Specimen brush is an item used in the Digsite. It is needed in the Digsite Quest and to dig in level 3 sites. It is obtained by pickpocketing ("steal-from") a Digsite workman. You can also take it from the tool rack in the Varrock Museum. It cannot be withdrawn as a bank note.
It is also given to the player during the quest Another Slice of H.A.M.
