Leather (also known as soft leather to distinguish it from hard leather) is used in the Crafting skill to make leather armour and other leather items. It can be created for free by giving a cowhide to a tanner. Tanners can be found in Al Kharid, Canifis, Neitiznot, in the Ranging Guild, Varrock and in the Crafting Guild. It can also be bought on the Grand Exchange.
