A small XP lamp is a common prize rewarded from the Squeal of Fortune, which grants the player a definite amount of experience scaled to the selected skill level. The experience gained is the same from level 98 to 120.
In addition to coming in a regular form where players can pick the skill in which they gain experience, players can also receive a lamp that is specific in which skill it can be used with. There is a lamp for every skill. Obtaining a small members lamp on a free to play world will not allow players to obtain it unless they subscribe. You cannot bank this item. The small XP lamp is always lost on death.
If the player receives one of these lamps, it is highly recommended to utilise it on a skill that is either expensive, such as Prayer or Herblore, or time-consuming, such as Slayer or Summoning.
Note: If you use a small XP lamp on Dungeoneering, you will not be awarded with the dungeoneering tokens.
