Sinew can be used on a spinning wheel by a member with 10 Crafting to create crossbow string, used for making crossbow through Fletching, granting 15 Crafting experience. It is created through the Cooking skill, by using a piece of raw beef, raw wolf meat or raw bear meat with a range and choosing to make sinew. Note: Do NOT attempt to use the raw beef or raw bear meat on a fire, no option to make Sinew will appear and you will just cook the raw meat. This is not the same material as flax and cannot be used for regular bows. Yet another note: DO NOT attempt to use raw yak meat, although the Yaks can be considered as cows' relatives. You can make only cooked meat from it, not the sinew.
