Silly jester hat is given as a reward when completing the Fremennik Isles quest. It offers a small Magic Defence bonus.
If a player were to lose their Silly jester hat, they could get it back by searching the king's chest on Jatizso. Upon equipping the hat, a player can hear the bells on the hat jingle. There is a glitch which may cause a player's head to become bald.
During the 2008 Hallowe'en event, the hat was considered a costume item when trick or treating.
