Shanomi runs a mini-game in the Warriors' Guild in which the player must defeat animated suits of armour to win warrior guild tokens. He's also one of the few currently known people (the others being Ak-Haranu, San Fan, Necrovarus, Xenia and Kamfreena) to come from the Eastern Lands.

Trivia
- When Shanomi speaks, he inverts the way he says things like Yoda from Star Wars.
- His examine text says "A warrior mage from the east"; he will explain that though he uses magic, he acknowledges that melee combat is useful as well.
- When you look closely at Shanomi's hands, he is holding the 2 handed sword with one hand, his other hand slightly lowered from the sword.
- The lines Shanomi says are from The Book of Five Rings, written by the famous Samurai Kensei, Miyamoto Musashi and are instructions on how to follow the way of the warrior.
