Ak-Haranu is a trader from the Eastern Lands, found to the far east past Port Phasmatys and Mos'Le Harmless. He plays a part in Ghosts Ahoy.
Ak-Haranu is currently in Port Phasmatys, selling exotic goods to the residents of the dead city. He does not speak English very well, and does not appear to leave the Eastern Lands often. Despite this, he has heard of Robin Hood, whom he greatly admires and is currently searching for.
The lands to the east are largely a mystery, and Ak-Haranu rarely speaks of them. He is currently one of the few NPCs that is known to have come from the eastern lands, although Necrovarus is also said to have come from them hundreds of years ago. His robes and sword suggest that the Eastern Lands are similar to medieval Asia, although it is unknown when players will be able to visit them.
Ak-Haranu runs a shop that sells Bolt racks for Karil's crossbow at a price of 420 coins each, with 100 in stock by default.
Trivia
- In Postbag from the Hedge 17, Ak-Haranu answers a letter sent by a player. In the letter he expresses a general dislike of foreigners, and says he has no desire to travel beyond the walls of Port Phasmatys because "only lamia and leech in forests". The Lamia is a mythological creature that resembles a beautiful, seductive, female vampire or demon.
- Ak-Haranu is Asian-Themed in his clothing and weapon-style, hinting that the Eastern Lands are similar to the real-world Far East.
