A sapphire necklace

A Sapphire necklace is made by using a gold bar, a sapphire and a necklace mould on a furnace. It requires a Crafting level of 22 and yields 55 experience when made. It is the lowest-level jewel necklace.

Grum's Gold Exchange in Port Sarim buys the necklace for 315 coins, half the amount of coins that High Alchemy yields.

A person with a magic level of 7 or more can use the spell Enchant Level 1 Jewellery spell to enchant a sapphire necklace into a Games necklace.

Sapphire necklaces are often bought and then enchanted, giving the player 17.5 experience per necklace. Since a game necklace often sells for more than the cost of a sapphire necklace and a cosmic rune (to enchant it), this can be a good way of making money and gaining magic experience at the same time while still a low level.

Another good thing to do, is buy the gold bar and cut sapphire to craft this, then use high alchemy for 80 coin profit.
