A prismatic pendant is a pendant won from the Squeal of Fortune. It can be turned into any other Pendant of Skill. It cannot be worn until it has been converted into a Pendant of Skill. It will just work like any other normal Pendant of Skill that would normally have been chosen for you.
It is not possible to have multiple of the same pendant. Therefore, you cannot choose a skill that you already have a pendant for.
