The Primal platebody is the strongest melee armour in Dungeoneering. As with all pieces of Primal armour, it requires level 99 Defence to be worn. Like all other armours in Daemonheim, it cannot be worn or purchased outside of the dungeons. The armour itself cannot be smithed, and it is currently dropped by the Dreadnaut (Level 95 Dungeoneering) boss within the Warped Floors. It is often the 3rd bind for many players due to it having the best defensive stats in the game for a single item. A Hexhunter bow, a Blood necklace, Primal gauntlets or a Golden precision bracelet are recommended as alternative tertiary binds. When doing the Dungeoneering skill cape emote with a melee weapon equipped or the Dungeoneering master cape emote, a Primal platebody can be seen amongst the full Primal that the player transforms into.
This platebody has more than 2 times the defence stats of the Dragon platebody, and higher defence stats in Stab, Slash, and Range than a full set of Dragon armour, making it the strongest platebody in the game. Even at its relative weakness, crush defence, it has a higher bonus than the Ganodermic poncho, only after the Vesta's chainbody.

Trivia
- The front of the platebody is designed to look like a face.
- This is the strongest piece of armour in the game, regarding defensive stats. In fact, it has slightly higher defensive bonuses than the whole Rune Equipment set.
