Page 1 is a quest item used in the Slug Menace quest. It is found by searching the desk in the Mayor's house in Witchaven. The page is used in conjunction with Page 2 and Page 3 of Brother Maledict's holy book in order to determine how to make the special runes needed to open a mysterious door in the newly discovered shrine beneath Witchaven.
In the quest, the player was tricked by slug possessed citizens that it will help shut Mother Mallum's door, but in reality, frees her.
