An Ogre coffin key is a members' item that is used to open locked Ogre coffins in the Zogre Flesh Eaters quest. This key can only be used during and after the quest. The keys are dropped by Zogres and Skogres as a 100% drop. You can also pick lock the coffins if you have 20 Thieving. It is possible to receive this from spending 2 zeal on the Gamble option in Soul Wars. They are commonly used in new player money making methods.

The Bones found in the Coffins give a very large amount of Prayer XP. These can be especially useful when used on a Gilded altar or taken to the Ectofuntus for the extra prayer bonus.

- The item's name is "Ogre coffin key", but when you open a coffin using it, it says "You unlock the coffin with your zogre coffin key". This is probably a typo by Jagex.
