Death runes are one of the most valuable runes in the game. They are crafted at the death altar, which is located in the Temple of Light, though it's faster to access via the Abyss. You can then use the amulet of glory to bank at Edgeville before running back to the Abyss. To navigate the Abyss, players should equip the dwarven army axe. Multiple amulets of glory are recommended to remove the requirement to recharge them. Ten amulets would last an hour before requiring a recharge.
Using all the runecrafting pouches and an abyssal familiar, you can hold 66 pure essence. A run takes approximately 90 seconds, so about 2,640 death runes can be crafted per hour, for a total profit of 205,920 per hour. It's possible to make slightly more than this due to the occasional double runecrafting. Without the giant pouch and the abyssal familar, you can hold 43 pure essence, netting 1,720 death runes per hour, for a total value of 134,160 per hour. |
