Mastic twigs is an item used in the quest In Pyre Need. The twigs are obtained by using secateurs on the mastic tree inside the Phoenix Lair. They can then be used with a knife to make a Mastic weaving ribbon, which is required to complete the quest.
After the quest, the method for obtaining the twigs remains the same. They are required to reach the Phoenix, most notably to obtain Phoenix Quills and Phoenix egglings.
