A mahogany chest is the second best crate that can be built in the Treasure Room of a player-owned house. To build one, the player requires at least 87 Construction, 5 Mahogany planks and 1 Gold leaf. Making the chest yields 1000 Construction experience.

The mahogany chest can only be opened when the Treasure Room guardian is defeated. It can hold up to 2,147,483,647 coins. A player must wait five minutes before adding treasure to his or her chest.
