[view][talk]

Living on Borrowed Time is an emote unlocked after the 2011 Hallowe'en event. This emote will automatically be performed facing north.

Four free squares in the north direction and one free square in the south direction are required to perform this emote, making it the only current holiday emote that requires more than one space. Otherwise the message "There's not enough room to perform this emote here" is displayed.

The length of the emote, including the text "Phew! Close call." is approximately 13 seconds, making it the longest holiday emote to date.

There is currently a glitch where after the emote is complete, you can see through your player in the places where the tip of the scythe overlapped your player.

There is also a glitch when using the emote which causes a player four sqares ahead of the player performing the emote to temporarily become invisible.

Trivia

  • This is currently the only emote in the Emotes tab in which the player says something.
  • This emote is a reference to the book RuneScape: Betrayal at Falador by T.S. Church when The Alchemist says," I'm living on borrowed time!"
  • There is currently a glitch if you perform this emote right behind the Herald of Lumbridge, the grim reaper will appear farther away from you causing the sword to not be on top of your player, instead he appears where the crate of hammers are. This same glitch appears when you are inbetween the west bank in Falador and the barber's shop (slightly west of the Saradomin Statue in the town square). This glitch has not been fixed.
  • There is currently a glitch if you perform this emote next to mystic on stealing of creation the grim reaper will appear next to the bow table and inside the melee table
  • There is currently a glich if you wear "Saradomin's Hiss" while performing this emote, a line will be stuck from the point where it was when the emote started, and connected to the neckpiece on the other end.
