Kris is a troll chef in the basement of the wizard's tower, and is featured primarily in the 2011 Christmas event. He is the assistant of the head chef Kringle.
Since trolls are named after the first thing they eat, it means Kris ate a kris. A kris is, like his examine-text says, a kind of dagger.
