The Khazard - Gnome War is an onging military conflict between the Northern and Southern Gnome Empire and the forces of the Mahjarrat General Khazard. The war is featured in the Gnome quest series, although much of it takes place outside the events of the series.
The war began as the result of Khazard Gnomish Extermination, an effort by General Khazard to wipe out the gnomeish race due to his belief that, as a race, they are inferior. After unprecedented casualties were inflicted upon gnomish travellers and civilians, the Gnome Empire, led by King Narnode Shareen and King Bolren, retaliated in force. The war has seen the re-popularization of the tortoise and terrorbird mounts which were used by the gnomes in the Thorobshuun - Gnome War, as well as the founding of the Armoured Tortoise Regiment.
The war coincides with the Arposandran War, also a part of the gnome quest series. The Arposandran War began shortly after the beginning of the Khazard - Gnome War, but the two both continue to this day.
