A Key is a quest item used during the Rocking Out quest. It is obtained from the Karamthulhu swimming near the ship sunken beneath Dragontooth Island. The key is then taken into the ship and is used to unlock a chest containing a crowbar.
Like most keys, it cannot be placed on a steel key ring.
