The Katagon spear is a tier 8 members-only item that can be obtained during Dungeoneering.
It requires 70 attack to wield and can be poisoned. The Katagon spear can be made by smithing at level 77 with 4 Katagon bars and it can only be made during Dungeoneering. Katagon spears can be poisoned inside Daemonheim using the Herblore skill.
It does not seem to appear in the weapons guide of Dungeoneering, but it does appear in the smithing guide. Spears are used in Dungeoneering for their ability to use a variety of styles of attack. However since there is no way for spears to utilise any of the melee Ring of kinship classes, it is not often used in high level Dungeoneering teams.

Trivia
- This item does not seem to be in Runescape's item guides, nor in the Runescape Knowledge Base.
- If this item is unbound to a player, it looks like a regular spear. However, if the spear is bound to a player, it will look much more different, with the top part of the spear being much larger then the bottom part.
