Karnac is the leader of the Myreque hidden at Hope Rock. He encourages the residents hidden there to help build a balloon designed by Master Peregrim following the arrival of the Morytanian embassy. During the escape attempt, the escapees are attacked, and the balloon goes down. The survivors manage to escape across the Salve.

He is taken as a representative of the Morytanian people in the escort to Varrock led by Captain Hardinge. While there, he angrily defends his people when they are accused of being idiots.

He has a brother Kendrick who went with Vanstrom Klause on the hunt for the Sunspear, a legendary weapon that can harm vampyres. His brother is killed by Tenebra shortly after the escape from Hope Rock.
