The Holy wrench is a reward for the completion of the Rum Deal quest. If players have it in their inventory when they drink a prayer potion, super prayer potion or super restore potion, they will regain additional Prayer points, depending on Prayer level. The increase is 10-20 prayer points for each dose drank of a regular prayer potion, and 10-30 points per dose of super restore potion depending on prayer level. The wrench also does affect prayer points restored by prayer renewal potions over time, increasing them by approximately 5.5%.

If a player loses their holy wrench, they can obtain a new one by talking to Davey on Braindeath Island. Having more than one holy wrench in your inventory does not further increase prayer gain.

Some players find the wrench rather useless, as the wrench takes up an inventory space which could instead be used for a Prayer potion. However, with level 50 prayer, having a full inventory of prayer potions (4) will restore 21,840 prayer points (4 * 195 * 28 = 21,840), while having 27 prayer potions (4) and a holy wrench will restore 22,140 prayer points (4 * 205 * 27 = 22,140), or 300 more prayer points. The more potions you have in your inventory the more it's worth using. The ideal amount depends on your level, for example at level 50 using 20 (4) dose potions is when you want to use the wrench, or at level 99 16 (4) dose potions.

The effect of the wrench stacks with the Reverence, Greater reverence, Master reverence, and Supreme Reverence auras.

This DOES work with Sanfew serum. With 95 prayer, sanfew serum heals 325 prayer per dose, and 344 per dose with the Holy wrench.
