Granite equipment
Armour
Unlike most armours with boots and gloves or gauntlets, there are only four pieces of granite armour. They are members only items. The shield is dropped by various trolls. The granite legs are dropped by Skeletal Wyverns. The body is available from the Barbarian assault minigame, and a player may kill Terror Dogs to find a granite helmet. A player can buy any piece of granite equipment at the Grand Exchange or from another player. To wear pieces of granite armour, a player must have 50 Defence and 50 Strength. Granite armour has slightly less defence than Rune armour in all stats except range and summoning. However, the Granite body, and the granite helmet have higher defence stats than rune. Granite armour is also notable for being much heavier than other pieces of equipment (Granite platelegs weigh 15 kg, and as a comparison, rune platelegs weigh 9 kg).
Granite equipment cannot be carved from granite that can be mined from the quarry.
Dondakan the Dwarf has Granite boots, but refuses to sell them for any price.

- Granite armour provides the highest negative magic attack bonus in proportion to its required levels, with an exception for the granite body which can be replaced with a rune platebody for an extra -9 bonus.
