The Fuse box is used when repairing Dwarf multicannons within the Artisans Workshop. It is obtained after repairing the Broken fuse box on an anvil with a hammer, and then filling it with gunpowder from the nearby barrels. It should be added back to the cannon furnace along with the Flint.
