Father Lawrence Lambare is a priest who worships Saradomin in his Church in north-east Varrock. He is often drunk when talked to and also claims that he is holding a congregation, although both of his followers are asleep in their seats. He used to be a close friend to Romeo and he knew a lot about the struggles between Romeo's and Juliet's families. Father Lawrence was the person who suggested that you make a Cadava Potion during the Romeo & Juliet Quest to help Romeo marry the love of his life, Juliet. However, the Romeo and Juliet Quest was replaced by Gunnar's Ground on 21 September 2010. Romeo and Juliet were removed as well. After the quest was removed, he has no specific use.

Trivia

  • It is evident that Father Lawrence is a character based on Friar Laurence from the real "The Tragedy of Romeo & Juliet" play by William Shakespeare. Although, the fact that he is an alcoholic has no link to the original character besides the occupation and name.
  • Evidently Father Lawrence lives in the Varrock Church, because there is a room on the second floor of the Church, with a bed and beer bottles lying around.
  • Father Lawrence has a symbol similar to that of Iban on his Priest Vesments.
  • One of the people sleeping in his church is a man named Jeremy Clerksin, this is most probably a RuneScape duplicate of Jeremy Clarkson, who is mostly known as the presenter of the program "Top Gear", because in the Varrock Census, Jeremy is listed as a "cart expert."
  • If a Wine of Zamorak is present in a player's inventory, Father Lawrence will follow the player around for a few moments before giving up and walking away. However, upon trying to give the wine to him you will get the message, "Nothing interesting happens."
  • Father Lawrence has at least 12 Herblore, as he prepares a Strength potion during the novel Return to Canifis.
  • According to Postbag #29, his name is possibly Lawrence L. Packett, as written on the Temple Knights' dossier: WOM.
    • (source: Last Will and Testament, Fr Packett, Priest of Saradomin, Varrock).
  • Father Lawrence has written a book named 'Following Saradomin: The Path to Illumination', which is present in any of the many bookcases of the Abbey of St. Elspeth Citharede
