The elite black platebody was released alongside While Guthix Sleeps. Part of the elite black armour set, it requires 40 Defence to equip. The platebody provides similar defensive bonuses to that of the rune platebody. However, the rune platebody confers higher crush defensive bonuses. All three pieces of the elite black armour set are common drops during While Guthix Sleeps. However, after the first drop, the drop rates decrease significantly.
