Earth surge, a members-only magic spell, is the strongest earth spell and second strongest elemental spell in the standard spellbook. This spell deals a maximum damage of 260 without boosts. The catalytic runes used for this spell are one blood rune and one death rune. An elemental staff can be used to cut the costs of this spell. Like all combat spells, each damage point caused by this spell yields 0.2 magic experience points and 0.133 constitution experience points.

Trivia
- These spells were added to the spellbook in the 17 November 2009 update.
- On 24 June 2010, all of the elemental spells received a graphical make-over.
- This spell is used by the Thingummywut summoned by Wizard Traiborn in the Love Story Quest's final cut scene, who casts it extraordinarily quickly.
