Clean tarromin is a grimy tarromin that has been cleaned. It is the third lowest level herb available. It is used in the Herblore skill. Because of the high price of Limpwurt roots, making Strength potions is not a cost effective way to train herblore. Instead, many players who have done the Shades of Mort'ton quest choose to make Serum 207 with them. After the quest, they can still be used on the Afflicted for random rewards one of which is the primary ingredient tarromin, but it gives just as much experience as making a strength potion and uses only ashes as a secondary ingredient. Tarromin is used in the Grim Tales quest to make the Shrink-me-quick potion. It is created by adding a clean tarromin to a vial of water then adding a shrunk ogleroot. The potion can then be drunk by the player in order to go through a mouse hole in the witch's house south of Taverley in order to recover Miazrqa's pendant from a mouse that stole it. Due to the high cost to low yield ratio that tarromin provides, both in exp and in monetary returns, it is often considered one of the most useless herbs, and hence is largely discarded by any experienced player.
