Chaos boots are an elemental pair of boots obtained at the end of the Elemental Workshop IV quest. They may be smithed using one chaos bar and a hammer on the anvil on the first level of the Elemental Workshop, requiring 42 Smithing and a Shabby book in the inventory. As with most elemental armour pieces, these boots confer minimal bonuses to combat statistics. They require 50 Defence to wear.

Trivia

  • Players can imitate the look of a full set of armour by wearing some Bronze platelegs (Splitbark legs look even more like part of the set), although the Nature and Astral doors during the Elemental workshop IV quest hint at a future sequel of the quest series which might include elemental platelegs (this was hinted at in a FAQ on the quest series (an item for every slot), so it might be possible to get a full set in the future).
  • The boots slightly resemble the iron boots from the Legend of Zelda series.
  • These boots are arguably the most useful piece of armour released so far in the Elemental Workshop series, as it provides the third highest Magic defence for the boot slot, only surpassed by Infinity boots and Silly jester boots. However, as Infinity boots are a high cost item and Jester boots have a negative Ranged defence bonus, these boots can be a preferable alternative.
