Call of the sea is an aura available as part of the Members Loyalty Programme and can be purchased from Xuan in Burthorpe, for 5,000 loyalty points.

Upon its release, it was on sale for 400 points instead of 5,000.

This aura increases the chances of catching a fish while fishing. It lasts 1 hour before depleting and has a cooldown time of 3 hours. Also, as with all auras, if the account using it is logged out while the aura is activated, the timer will continue to run out.

Activating the aura provides a 3% faster catch rate and stacks with a familiar's (granite crab, ibis or granite lobster) level bonuses.

Trivia

The graphical glitch on the barb-tailed harpoon.

• While wielding a barb-tail harpoon with the Aura being active, a yellow glow in the shape of a sword appears even though the player is wielding a harpoon. Barb-tail harpoons are one of the many items that have graphical glitches during the effect of an aura (silver sickle, magic secateurs, and Korasi's sword also causes this glitch).
