Brawling gloves (prayer) (also known as Prayer brawling gloves) are obtained as a random drop from Revenants and the Chaos Elemental.
The gloves provide 50% bonus experience while training the Prayer skill. In addition, the gloves give 400% experience if players train while in the Wilderness. The gloves last for 1274 uses and disintegrate after the uses expire.
One interesting thing about the Brawling gloves (Prayer) is that if players train in the wilderness, burying bones will give the same amount of experience as using the Ectofuntus, except without having to make bonemeal and ectoplasm. This can be done by a player running back and forth between Edgeville and the Wilderness, using summoning creatures with beast of burden capabilities.
Another method is to use bones or ashes on a gilded altar with both incense burners lit. This is the most efficient way to use them. It still provides the 50% bonus, which applies after the 350% from the gilded altar and the incense burner. For maximum results, players should use the bones with the largest experience gain they can afford.
Using frost dragon bones on a gilded altar while wearing these gloves gives 945 Prayer experience for each, resulting in a staggering 1,204,875 Prayer experience during the lifetime of one pair of gloves.
The gloves have no effect on the Ectofuntus. When the gloves are equipped while players worship the Ectofuntus, they get the same amount of experience as they would without the gloves. They also do not affect urns. For example, teleporting an Infernal urn while wearing the gloves, in the Wilderness or not, still gives 1,875 XP.
They provide no Attack or Defence bonuses whatsoever.
