Black dragonhide armour
Black dragonhide armour is ranged armour available only to members. All of the pieces require 70 Ranged to wear, and 40 Defence to wear the body. All of the pieces (except the coif) can be made through the Crafting skill from black dragonleather. Due to its relatively low cost, good defence values and availability, it is one of the most common armours among members who have reached 70 ranged and 40 defence. The torso piece of this armour weighs 6 kg, and the chaps weigh 6 kg as well. The vambraces appear to be weightless or have a weight value of far under 1 kg.
The set includes:
- Black d'hide body: Expression error: Unrecognized punctuation character "[". coins on G.E.
- Black d'hide chaps: Expression error: Unrecognized punctuation character "[". coins on G.E.
- Black d'hide vambraces: Expression error: Unrecognized punctuation character "[". coins on G.E.
- Black d'hide coif: 500 Fist of Guthix tokens (degrades during use, similar to Barrows equipment)
The body, chaps and vambraces can be exchanged for a set at the Grand Exchange.
This armour will not interfere with Ava's alerter, Ava's accumulator or Ava's attractor.
Many players wear this armour while fighting with melee against enemies that use magic attacks, because unlike melee armour, black dragonhide offers magic defence, and unlike some other types of ranged armour like Armadyl armour or Pernix armour, it does not have negative melee attack stats.
