Ammonium nitrate is a members-only quest item. It is used in The Dig Site quest along with nitroglycerin, ground charcoal, and arcenia root to make a chemical compound. It is obtained by using the chest key (Digsite) to open the chest near the panning point, and is brought to the archaeology expert, who identifies it as ammonium nitrate.
Before the archaeology expert identifies it, ammonium nitrate is known as chemical powder.
Trivia
- Ammonium nitrate is used in some explosives with nitroglycerin. These are often referred to as ammonium dynamites.
- Ammonium nitrate is also used as fertilizer.
