A Small cast net is a reward for completing the quest Deadliest Catch, along with the Big cast net. It is a wieldable version of the Small fishing net – it has the same function as a Small fishing net while fishing or hunting (with a rope as usual), but allows an extra inventory space when fishing. Players are able to get multiple nets from Jones the fisherman without employing the Drop trick. It is wielded in the offhand slot. It, as well as the Big cast net can be stored inside tackle boxes from Fish Flingers. These nets can also be used as Small fishing net when using net traps.
Due to the release of the Toolbelt, Small and Large cast nets became largely useless.
