The gilded dragon pickaxe is a decorative dragon pickaxe that has been gilded by the Liquid Gold Nymph. If a player has been awarded all of the pieces of the golden mining outfit, when the nymph appears she will offer the player Mining experience or she will gild any one of the pickaxes a player has in their inventory. Foreman Jaak can remove the gilding from any pickaxe if asked. Gilded pickaxes are merely cosmetic and provide no additional bonuses.
Originally, it was impossible to use the special attack of the dragon pickaxe once it had been gilded. Players who tried to use the special attack, would get the message "You cannot perform a special attack with this weapon." This glitch has now been fixed.
