The Seeping elm trap is a trap used in the Dungeoneering skill. To make one, a player must use a knife on a set of Sleeping elm branches with level 13 fletching. You must have 10 Hunter to use this trap. This trap, as well as other traps, is used to hunt mastyxes in Daemonheim. Once laid, the mastyx will stick its head in the trap and will be decapitated. You will then be given an option to skin the corpse. You must have a knife in your inventory to do this, and it will yield several hides. This item is meant to trap a Protomastyx or a Submastyx, but it can also trap mastyxes with a higher tier number.
Trivia
When this trap is placed, the name becomes submastyx trap instead of seeping elm trap.
