Sassafras twigs are an item used in the quest In Pyre Need. It is obtained by using secateurs on a sassafras tree inside the Phoenix Lair. These can then be used with a knife to make a Sassafras weaving ribbon. The Sassafras tree is also a real tree, along with the other trees inside the phoenix's lair.
