A Sacred clay hat is an item that can be purchased for 24 points from the Stealing Creation Rewards Shop. It is worn as a hat and requires 40 Magic and Defence to be able to wear it. It is bought in the Morphic head armour option while talking to the Rewards mystic. If operated, it will transform into either a Sacred clay helm or a Sacred clay coif. Wearing the hat will yield double experience for all offensive spells. When it runs out of charges it needs to be recharged at the Stealing Creation Rewards Shop which costs 20 points. It has the exact same bonuses of a Mystic hat. Each Sacred Clay Hat will last 40,680 total experience (about 30k Magic Experience). That's the doubled experience value and after gaining that much experience it will degrade.

Trivia
- If the character wearing the hat talks to an NPC, their hair will show through the hat.
- When wearing the sacred clay hat, half the face disappears in the Forum threads avatar picture and in Chat box. This has yet to be fixed.
- When wearing the hat, a glitch may occur where the character's eyes will revert to the old model, and the hair ( if they have) will look like it has bald spots.
- If a female character who is wearing the hat has the "four ponies" hairstyle, sometimes after removing the hat the four pony-tails seem to get "pushed" down further on the head.
- Wear the Sacred Clay Hat used to cause your character's eyes revert to the old model, instead of the updated face. This was fixed in a patch.
- Using Sacred Clay mage armour now works for the Lunar spells Make Plank, String Jewellery, and Hunter Kit.
- When wearing any Sacred Clay headgear, using the long range option option with the rune crossbow does not give any defence experience.
