The desert top (overcoat) is part of the desert outfit, which provides protection against desert heat, approximately ten seconds longer until you need a drink. The outfit is similar to the clothing worn by the magic carpet operators. The set may be obtained from Ali Morrisane after completing the third part of the miniquest Rogue Trader, by receiving it as an uncommon drop from a Dried zombie, or by purchasing it from the Grand Exchange.

There is a small graphical glitch with the Desert top. When female players wear the top, it makes their torso look bigger than usual and amulets go through as on a male character.
