A Monkey is a Summoning pet available at level 95 Summoning. It is the only pet after level 90 Summoning that can be understood without using a boost, using an Amulet of Monkeyspeak.

With level 27 Hunter and level 95 Summoning, a Baby monkey can be caught using a Box trap, giving 100 Hunter experience. A banana is needed as bait. Baby monkeys require bananas to grow into adult monkeys.

Baby monkeys gain 5% hunger every 2 minutes and 1% size every 4 minutes, meaning that it will take 40 minutes for an unfed baby monkey to run away, and 6 hours 40 minutes for a baby monkey to grow to adult size.

Summoning teaser

There was a teaser released on the development diary, known as "Summoning : Part 2", and had a HD chathead, which was before HD was released.

Trivia

• When Summoning first came out, monkeys were tradeable via the Grand Exchange. This was a bug and has now been fixed.
• Along with Dealga, pet monkeys are currently the only monkeys with updated graphics.
