A barricade is an item used in the Castle Wars and Soul Wars minigames as portable obstacles to restrict enemy movement. The barricades have a set-up option that places the item on the ground below you as an attackable object with 500 life points. Each team in the minigame can have a maximum of 10 barricades set up. If the limit is reached, players on that team cannot set up more barricades unless some of the previously set up barricades are destroyed. Players cannot walk through barricades placed in that manner, and must destroy it by attacking, lighting it with a tinderbox, or using an explosive potion with it. Players gain no experience from attacking barricades. If you have reached your barricade limit a message in your chat box will inform you so. They are immune to poison.
Trivia
- A while back players use to be able to use their dragon halberd special attack on the barricade and it would destroy it, but that is now fixed.
- Many players in the minigame get annoyed with other players setting up barricades due to them blocking the way for both teams. You will often find players destroying their own team's barricades, and saboteurs wasting their own team's barricades.
- If you put a barricade directly at the top or bottom of a staircase, a player coming up or down the stairs will appear on top of the barricade. They may then choose to walk back onto the stairs or walk out of the barricades way.
- If you drop a barricade while standing on a team's dropped flag, it appears on top of the flag. This glitch has not yet been fixed.
