Ethenea is a quest item given to the player by Elena during the Biohazard quest. The player must smuggle it into the gated area in the south-east of Varrock by giving it to Da Vinci, one of the chemist's assistants in Rimmington who will then carry it to The Dancing Donkey Inn. The item will disappear if it is in the players inventory and they teleport or are attacked during the quest. The ethenea must be given only to Da Vinchi as it is colourless and he is unable to paint with it, unlike the Sulphuric broline and Liquid honey.
