Ranging pedestals are a form of a combat ring that can be built in the Combat Room of a player-owned house. Like a combat ring, a player may wield any item while on the pedestal; however, the player must use Ranged or Magic against the opponent.
Ranging pedestals require level 71 Construction and 8 teak planks. When built, earns the player 720 experience.
Players often use this type of combat room as part of a dungeon, as a "safe room", as the pedestals provide a safe-spot from melee attack, both from other players and any dungeon monsters.
