A Mind shield is made after completing the Elemental Workshop II quest by having a Slashed book (from the Elemental Workshop I quest house) in the Inventory, then smithing a Primed mind bar into a mind shield; this gives 30 Smithing experience. Its Magic defence bonus is +3 higher than the Elemental shield and also features +9 more Summoning defence. When equipped, an orange circle emits from the centre, growing fast until the whole shield forms, looking like a wave rushing from the centre to the outside.
A Mind shield can be used as partial protection against the breath of Skeletal Wyverns.
