Survey is an item used in the quest Death Plateau. It can be received from Freda after giving her boots back upon spiking them. It is a paper with a small map that shows where to dig within Sabbot's cave to bypass the Trolls on Death Plateau.
The survey replaced the secret way map used in the old version of the quest.
