The '''Khazard - Gnome War''' is an onging military conflict between the Northern and Southern [[Gnome Empire]] and the forces of the [[Mahjarrat]] [[General Khazard]]. The war is featured in the [[Gnome quest series]], although much of it takes place outside the events of the series.

The war began as the result of [[Khazard Gnomish Extermination]], an effort by General Khazard to wipe out the [[gnome]]ish [[race]] due to his belief that, as a race, they are inferior. After unprecedented casualties were inflicted upon gnomish travellers and civilians, the Gnome Empire, led by [[King Narnode Shareen]] and [[King Bolren]], retaliated in force. The war has seen the re-popularization of the [[tortoise]] and [[terrorbird]] mounts which were used by the gnomes in the [[Thorobshuun - Gnome War]], as well as the founding of the [[Armoured Tortoise Regiment]].

The war coincides with the [[Arposandran War]], also a part of the gnome quest series. The Arposandran War began shortly after the beginning of the Khazard - Gnome War, but the two both continue to this day.
