Yewnock is the son of Oaknock, the legendary gnome builder. Yewnock, like his father, built a machine that would reveal the true colours of any cute creatures. He built his in the Gnome Village Dungeon. He bears mighty resemblance to his father, such as the first part of their names. Oak and Yew are both trees, and his examine text is a reference to his machine that was copied from his father.

- His examine text may be a reference to the popular children's show "Bob the Builder".
