The Splitbark wizard is an unnamed wizard who wears full Splitbark armour in the Wizards' Tower. He tells you how to gather the right materials for his unique armour and he will make it for you, but not for free. Before a hidden update, free players were able to see the materials for each piece of splitbark equipment.
To obtain some Splitbark armour from him, the player needs to bring him some fine cloth and bark, with some coins. In total a player is required to have 11 bark and 11 Fine cloth and 77,000 coins in order to get full Splitbark. Since full Splitbark's street price is usually 60,000-67,000 coins, players may choose to purchase the set on the Grand Exchange instead.
The Splitbark armour is one of the best non-god magic armour for members. It requires level 40 Defence and level 40 Magic to wear.
After a major update involving the releasing of the Runecrafting Guild to all players, the Splitbark Armour Wizard is the one who stops any player from entering the portal to the guild should they be of insufficient Runecrafting level, indicating his acknowledgement of at least the existence of the guild and its rules.
