The Jonah

The Jonah was a supposedly cursed pirate vessel that existed during the recent Fifth Age. It is most well-known for one of its crewmen, Unlucky Jenkins, who suffered a number of strange accidents whilst serving on it. The Jonah was severely damaged during a hurricane, and whether or not it still sails is unknown.

Trivia

• The hurricane that damaged the Jonah is similar to the Bible story of "Jonah and the whale", in which whilst Jonah is sleeping on his way to Tarshish, a hurricane batters the ship. The crew reluctantly throws Jonah overboard and the hurricane dies down.
