This is a documentation subpage for Template:L. It contains usage information, categories, and other content that is not part of the original template page.

This template is used to make it possible to insert [[ to a template, for example a template that automatically inserts links. The template would automatically add [[ and ]] around a specific parameter, but you want it to contain 2 seperate links. Then you should do {{template|link 1]] and {{l|o}}link 2}} as adding [[ instead of {{l|o}} would cause the template to break.

For the first parameter, the following options are possible:

o and open (resulting in [[)
c and close (resulting in ]])
